The Guérewol competitions involve the ornamented young men dancing the Yaake in a line, facing a young marriageable woman, sometimes repeatedly over seven days, and for hours on end in the desert sun. Suitors come to the encampment of the woman to prove their interest, stamina, and attractiveness.

Through this interactive installation, which will take place all around the Guérewol festival, the visitors can gain quick access to information as well as the directory from a digital map. They are encouraged to move their bodies around with the rhythm, initiating an interaction with the animation on display. By doing this, they are celebrating love and beauty while building a bond with each other in the desert.

Everything is, uh, KK. 👌
