Land art is an ephemeral and vulnerable object, so are sculptures and humans. By curating an interactive dialogue in between, Tippet Rise Art Center closes the gap between our virtual and physical world, forming a digital layer over reality. The exhibition serves as a reminder for its audience to leave their traces digitally, because in the end, what is only left will be the memories and experience that time can’t wash away.

Every landscape is a work of the mind shaped by the memories and obsessions of its observers. Through creating an interactive space, Tippet Rise melts that barrier in between while examining the vulnerability they share. The installation converts live footage of the people’s surroundings into a digital landscape. By leaving traces and footprints virtually, anyone can turn each moment into something that is everlasting.
